WHITE CARD

CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction Industry

This courses are Nationally Accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Purpose: CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry is the unit of competency which has been developed to meet the requirements of the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work. The unit includes an assessment tool and an implementation guide which comprise the national course for general safety induction. The unit has been endorsed by the National Quality Council and approved by Ministers to be included on the National Training Information Service.

Under the national code people requiring a construction induction card under legislation will need to have successfully completed this unit of competency and received a statement of attainment from a registered training organisation (RTO) to receive a Nationally recognised ‘White Card’.

Who should enroll: People working in or intending to work in the construction industry.

Objective of the training: This unit requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of OHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry. Licensing requirements will apply to this unit of competency.

When and where is the training held: At your work premises or at our training centre in Forest Hill Queensland with the support of a friendly experienced facilitator.

Assessment: Our Assessor will collect evidence and make judgments about whether competency has been achieved to confirm if an individual can perform to the standards expected in the workplace, as expressed in the endorsed unit of competency. This will be achieved by a combination of research, theory, quizzes, assignments and participation in group discussions or satisfactory completion of practical on the job demonstration/s in most cases or photographs (Still and Video) as determined by a qualified assessor to meet requirements in the Assessment Instrument.
